From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged “Oda Nobunaga” Katana. Full tang 1060 high carbon steel makes this a resilient katana that is sharp right out of the box.

Traditional black color themed katana with Maru Gata style tsuba depicts Oda Nobunaga, one of the daimyo in the late 16th century for Japan. During the late Sengoku period he successfully gained control over most of Honshu. Nobunaga was widely known for most brutal suppression of determined opponents, eliminating those who by principle refused to cooperate or yield to his demands. His reign was noted for innovative military tactics, fostering free trade and encouraging the sort of the Momoyama historical art period.

This blade features integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a common misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, it actually has nothing to do with channeling the blood. Making the Katana lighter enables the user to wield the katana better and puts less stress on the hands. Not to mention it benefits some advance cutting techniques that requires the katana to change direction rapidly.

All Musha swords are able to be fully disassembled. Maru Gata style Tsuba, Fuchi, Kashira all can be swapped out for a different set. Real wood handle is wrapped with traditional cotton and real ray skin.
