This is a Special Edition Musashi Sword design by Paul Southren of Sword Buyers Guide. It was designed as a lightweight katana made for super-fast cuts. Using Maru-kitae hand-forged technique with 1060 high carbon steel the result is a beautiful and resilient blade. The Fuchi and Kashira depict a bamboo theme. Glossy black wood saya sheaths the katana while not in use.

A unique feature on the “Fast Cutter” is the rare double Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a common misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, it has nothing to do with channeling the blood. Making the Katana lighter enables the user to weld the katana smoother and puts less stress on the hands. Not to mention it benefits some advanced cutting techniques that require the katana to change direction rapidly.

Along with the rare ham dashi tsuba, the bamboo fast cutter is very light. In train hands, this lightweight katana can cut maneuver, and change direction with speed you didn’t know was possible!

The Special Edition Bamboo Fast Cutter is Razor sharp right out of the box and ready for tamishigiri.

Each Special Edition Bamboo Fast Cutter is individually numbered on the tang and comes with a matching certificate of authenticity. Every Katana also includes a cotton sword bag for storage.
